DYE PENETRANT TESTING

Using this tried and tested test method, our competence team determines defects on the surfaces of metallic and other non-porous materials.
Our in-house inspectors are certified according to DIN EN 473, ISO 9712 and Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC. Employees with level 2 certification are available for visual inspection (VT).

In dye penetrant testing, coloured test liquid is applied to the test object. This is done, for example, with the help of a brush or by immersion. The dye penetrant takes advantage of the large capillary effect of every irregularity of the test object and penetrates into the smallest crack. After an exposure time, the surface is cleaned. By applying a second layer, the so-called developer layer, the remaining dye penetrant is locally absorbed, creating a strong and optically well visible contrast at defect locations.

Reliable results of dye penetrant testing
The method is used in particular in steel, bridge and tank construction. The prerequisite for veritable results is a particularly careful and thorough procedure in accordance with DIN 54 152 of the Material Testing Ordinance. Our team carries out the testing according to the current standards or according to the customer's specifications.

We place particular emphasis on fast service for all services, so that there are no long waiting times. With us, you get the test results for the dye penetrant test and any other NDT delivered quickly. Once the test is completed, the corresponding test report is issued immediately on site.
